The primary artist associated with Evil Eye Graphics, Garth Horsfield studied life drawing from 13, and proceeded to Year 11 and 12 Art & Design at SMB TAFE, Ballarat.

He followed this up with Art & Design at Ballarat Uni, specializing in drawing and painting. During this time he was also developing computer skills, keeping up with the recent advancements in design technology, and was one of the first to study computer assisted design on Apple Mac in the late 80's when consumer computing technology became powerful enough to apply to graphics projects.

He has been involved in over 20 exhibitions, including the Convent Gallery Daylesford, Springmount Gallery, The Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, Makers on Mair and several other venues. He has illustrated children's books, and produced numerous images for posters and promotion. His last formal employment before managing Evil Eye Graphics was as head designer at a local design studio, prior to his travelling to Europe. In his spare time he works on music for his band Immaculata.
